METPACK 2011
PHOENIX Xtra BLANKETS makes successful showing
With its PHOENIX Xtra BLANKETS brand, ContiTech presents its printing blanket innovations for packaging print.
Hanover, May 2011. The PHOENIX Xtra BLANKTETS brand of printing blankets from ContiTech Elastomer Coatings made a first-time showing at METPACK, presenting itself at the 7th edition of this trade show – from May 10 to 14, 2011 in Messe Essen – as a competent technology partner and producer of offset printing blankets for the upcoming generation. The event is the central international venue for the metal packaging sector. “We want to offer our dealers and final customers, but also other interested parties as well, a platform they can use to get directly in contact with us," says Sven Speier, sales manager. PHOENIX XTRA BLANKETS is very much present in UV and packaging print and we control a good chunk of the market in this growth sector. There was thus no question but that we would be represented at the world's leading trade show with its top-notch public from this branch."
PHOENIX XTRA BLANKETS aroused particular interest with its new PHOENIX Tanzanite printing blanket. Its unique design ideally suits it for the high demands in large-format packaging print. Thanks to its two specially harmonized compressible layers, Tanzanite develops optimum transport and transfer properties regardless of the thickness and condition of the substrate to be printed. This is an immense advantage, particularly for users printing metal and packaging.
The PHOENIX Xtra BLANKETS team had still another innovation on view – its Ruby® CARAT printing blanket, the No. 1 in UV offset printing. It has made an outstanding name for itself in over 90 countries. In addition to its UV-resistant surface, Ruby® CARAT boasts a compressible intermediate layer that guarantees outstanding printing results and long service life.
“We are satisfied with our showing at METPACK,” recaps Speier. “We conducted important talks and made fresh contacts with leading machine manufacturers. Both of these are crucial factors for our further development.”
